Ladane Nasseri is Bloomberg News’ senior Iran correspondent. She coordinates and leads the Iran team’s news coverage.
Based in Tehran from 2005 until 2011, Ladane has covered the country under three successive Iranian presidents, an era of sanctions and the recently finalized nuclear negotiations.
From her base now at Bloomberg’s Middle East headquarters in Dubai, Ladane focuses on developments across Iran’s political landscape, macro economy and foreign policy. She travels regularly back to Iran for reporting assignments, to attend conferences and interview top officials.
Prior to reporting for Bloomberg over the past decade, Ladane contributed to Newsweek, France’s Liberation, the U.K.'s Daily Telegraph, Canada’s La Presse and WNYC-New York Public Radio. Her work has been published by media outlets globally, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The San Francisco Chronicle, Chicago Tribune, Germany’s Die Welt and the Sydney Morning Herald.
Ladane has a Masters in international relations from the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at Columbia University. She speaks Farsi, French, English with limited proficiency in Arabic.
